<br/>Hot conditions prevailed in most parts of northern India with Churu in Rajasthan recording a high of 40 degrees celsius. The maximum temperature in Ajmer, Kota, Bikaner and Jaisalmer was 39 degrees Celsius even as Sri Ganganagar in the desert state experienced light showers.<br/><br/>In Delhi, citizens did not get any respite from simmering hot conditions with mercury touching 38.7 degrees celsius, five degrees above normal for this time of the year. The capital experienced mild rainfall late last night. The met office says there is no possibility of rainfall in the next few days.
