Cold conditions further aggravated in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh today with minimum temperature falling upto five degrees Celsius below normal in some parts of the region. The MET office said the minimum temperature hovered between one to five degrees Celsius below normal in the plains of Punjab and Haryana.<br/> <br/>Rohtak was the coldest place in the region with a low of 3.2 degrees Celsius, which was four notches below normal, followed by 3.7 degrees Celsius at Karnal, which was five notches below normal.<br/> <br/>While, Ambala shivered at a low of 4.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, the minimum temperature at Amritsar and Patiala was 5.2 Celsius, three notches below normal. The MET office predicted mist and haze in the morning and night and fog at some places in the region for the next few days.<br/>
