The CBI has sought the custody of DMK leader Dayanidhi Maran in the alleged telephone exchange case. <br/><br/>The Investigating agency today told the Supreme Court that he is not cooperating in the case and his custodial interrogation is necessary to ascertain the actual usage of telephone lines for purported benefit of family venture SUN TV.<br/><br/>The affidavit filed by the CBI before a bench headed by justice T S Thakur said that there is an evidence of forging or tampering and manipulation of records. <br/><br/>The apex court deferred the hearing on the plea of Maran to 27th of next month and asked the DMK leader to file his response by the next date of hearing.
