In Andhra Pradesh, the general strike by the state Government employees and teachers in support of Statehood for Telegana continues for the 11th day. Senior Doctors in Government hospitals in Hyderabad have extended solidarity to the strike. Medical services have been hit badly for the second day however emergency medical services are available.The South Central Railways have cancelled over 230 trains including superfast expresses and long distance trains in view of the 48-hour long Rail Roko from tomorrow as part of the agitation. Hundreds of other passenger trains either originate or pass through 11 railway sections in Telangana Region have also been partially cancelled or diverted.Meanwhile, the State Government has been making efforts to improve power generation which was badly affected due to the strike. Coal supplies have depleting at several thermal power projects in the state decreasing power generation.
