Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned for one hour till noon today on several issues including Telangana. As soon as the Lok Sabha met for the day, members from Andhra Pradesh rushed to the well, protesting against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Samajwadi Party members were also in the well raising slogans against the hike in the prices of essential commodities. Members from Tamil Nadu were protesting against the arrest of fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy. Amidst din, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House till noon.
In the Rajya Sabha, Samajwadi Party members rushed to the well of the House, raising slogans against price rise. As soon as the House met, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari informed the members that he has received a notice from the Leader of Opposition Arun Jaitely for suspension of the Question Hour to take up the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Bill for discussion. As noisy scenes continued, the Chairman adjourned the House till noon.
