The Telecom Ministry will finalise the National Telecom Policy after taking into account TRAI's recommendations on mergers and acquisitions and spectrum pricing .

The discussions in the Telecom Commission of India remained inconclusive today and will meet again on Thursday to thrash out all out standing issues. Taking to media persons in New Delhi on Monday, Telecom Secretary R Chandrashekhar said that if things don't conclude on that day, another meeting will be called for final decision.

Earlier this month, TRAI had sent its recommendation to Department of Telecom, DoT, which had sought clarifications from the regulator, before finalising the NTP 2011.
