Minister of Telecom Manoj Sinha has emphasized the need for expansion of network and services at affordable rates not only in urban but also in semi-urban and rural areas. <br/><br/>Addressing media after his first meeting with CEOs of telecom companies in New Delhi today, Mr Sinha said this will help to meet the objectives of government flagship programme Digital India. <br/><br/>The Minister said telecom companies assured that the target for the 100 days programme will be met. He said out of 60,000 base transceiver station-BTS tower, telecom companies have installed 48,000 towers so far to address the call drop issue.<br/><br/>
