Minister of State for Communications Manoj Sinha said in Rajya Sabha today that the Department of Telecom envisages formulating a new National Telecom Policy in view of rapid technological advancements in the sector including innovation, security and protecting the interests of the consumers. <br/><br/>In a written reply, the Minister said, a draft policy is likely to be ready by the end of the financial year. However, he said as the formulation of the policy is at a very nascent stage the exact provisions of the policy cannot be indicated now.
