Telangana state is celebrating the Hyderabad Accession Day today across the state to mark the accession of Hyderabad princely state in the Indian Union. Thirteen months after India achieved its independence, on this day in 1948, the last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan announced cease fire and agreed for accession in India when Indian army took Operation Polo. Political parties, individuals and organisations are celebrating the day as Telangana Liberation Day and Telangana Accession Day, by hoisting the national flag.<br />''<br />'' Leaders of political parties hoisted the tricolour at their party offices. TRS Parliamentary Party leader Dr K. Keshav Rao hoisted the national flag at the party Headquarters while BJP OBC Morcha President Dr Lakshman and&nbsp; Union Minister of Culture G. Kishan Reddy hoisted the tri-colour at BJP party state office and observed today as Telangana Liberation Day. Congress and Telangana TDP are among other parties hoisted the national flag on the occasion.
