<span style="color: #222222;">In a sudden surge in COVID positive cases, Telangana State reported 352 new Corona virus positive cases yesterday. Out of this, 302 reported from Hyderabad and its municipal area. Neighbouring Rangareddy district reported 17 new cases while Medchal Malkajgiri district reported 10 new cases.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Remaining cases reported from 11 other districts across the state. With this, total reported COVID-19 cases in the state have gone up to 6,027. After discharging 230 people who have recovered, the total recoveries in the state so far have gone up to 3,301. On the other hand, three more persons succumbed yesterday taking the death toll due to COVID-19 and other comorbidities to 195.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that there is a massive surge in the COVID fresh cases that are being reported in Telangana State with about 1,000 cases being added in four days. In all, 352 fresh cases have been reported in the state yesterday while it was 269 on the previous days and it was over 200 a day before that.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Greater Hyderabad continued to be the worst affected region, accounting for 302 of the cases reported yesterday. Ranga Reddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts that are adjoining Hyderabad municipality also accounted for 27 new cases. The health officials attributed the latest surge in the COVID cases to the intensive test drive that the authorities taken up in Hyderabad and surrounding districts.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The government had taken up 50,000 tests in these areas two days ago and will continue for next week days especially in the containment zones and among high-risk groups.
