Telangana Municipal Administration Minister, Chief Secretary flag off 3 Electric Double Decker buses in Hyderabad

<span style="color: #222222;">Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K. T. Rama Rao and Chief Secretary A Shanti Kumari flagged off three Electric Double Decker buses in Hyderabad. Chevella Lok Sabha member G Ranjith Reddy, Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar were also present.<br />''<br />''These buses will be predominantly plying around the race track covering Tank Bund, Necklace Road, Paradise and Nizam College stretch, with the Formula E-race scheduled in Hyderabad on the 11th February. After the Formula E race, the buses are planned to be used along a heritage circuit to augment tourism in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) placed an order for six Electric Double Decker buses which cost 2.16 crore rupees each.<br />''<br />''An official release stated that the HMDA plans to extend this fleet up to 20 buses. The 65-seat electric buses can have a range of 150 KMs on a single charge and can be charged fully in 2-2.5 hours. It may be known that the Double Decker buses have historical relevance in Hyderabad as the conventional ones were started by the Nizam and plied in the city up until 2003.</span><br />
