In Andhra Pradesh, the protest demonstrations are continuing in favour of separate Telangana state even as the indefinite hunger strike by students of Osmania University in Hyderabad is underway. The Telengana Joint Action Committee decided at an emergency meeting on Sunday morning to intensify the agitation for the separate Telangana state. It has also decided to hold a student conclave on the 3rd January a massive rally with students from all the 10 districts of Telangana region in Hyderabad. The JAC has demanded the Government to start the process for carving out Telangana state and issue a clear statement over Telangana state before the 12th of next Month. Meanwhile, the TDP leaders belonging to Telangana have convened a meeting at the party headquarters to decide about the future course of action on Telangana. TDP has already made it clear that it would carry on the struggle on its own given its differences with the Congress on the issue.<br/>
