The Lok Sabha was disrupted repeatedly on Wednesday over the Telangana Statehood issue. As soon as the House met for the day, members of Telangana Rashtriya Samiti, TRS, Telgu Desham Party,TDP and Congress trooped into the well raising slogans in support of their demand for a separate Telangana State. Members of the three parties belonging to Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh paid no heed to the Speaker's repeated requests to go back to their seats and continued to raise slogans forcing the adjournment till noon.
When the House reassembled during Zero Hour, the scenario was same. Amidst the din, Leader of Opposition Sushama Swaraj pleaded that the agitated members may be heard. The Speaker said, she has indeed told the agitating members that they would be given time to put forward their views. But unsatisfied with the Speaker's response, the pro- Telangana members did not budge and the din continued forcing Speaker to adjourn the House till 2 PM.
When the House met at 2 PM, the pro- Telangana members again rushed into the well displaying placards. They were demanding introduction of the Seperate Telangana Statehood Bill in Parliament.Amidst din, Deputy Speaker Kariya Munda adjourned the Lok Sabha till Thursday.
