The Congress will take up the issue of a separate Tengana state after presentation of the Union Budget. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Party spokesman, Dr Shakeel Ahmed said this assurance was given by the Leader of the Lok Sabha, Mr Pranab Mukherjee to a group of party MPs from Telangana, who met him Wednesday afternoon. Dr Ahmed said the MPs also met Mr Ahmed Patel, political secretary to the Congress President, Mrs Sonia Gandhi in this regard.
