Telangana government has removed certain restrictions imposed in 1996 to protect the catchment area of the Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar reservoirs near Hyderabad. The fresh decision of the government will allow heavy construction in 84 villages around the reservoirs. The State government has also constituted a committee headed by the Chief Secretary to suggest measures for the protection and prevention of these two reservoirs.<br />''<br />''<br />
