Telangana govt earmarks about Rs 3700 crore credit flow to women self-help groups through "Stree Nidhi" in current financial year

<span style="color: #222222;">The Telangana state government has earmarked about 3700 crore rupees credit flow to women self-help groups (SHGs) through "Stree Nidhi" during the current financial year. This is about 600 crore rupees more than that of the last year. According to an official release, the government has spent about 14 thousand 750 crore rupees during the past 8 years to the SHGs for setting up businesses such as kirana shops, laundry, poultry farms and bakeries. During the last fiscal, a sum of 750 crore rupees was allotted from SC Sub Plan, 410 crore rupees from ST Sub Plan and over 40 crore rupees from Stree Nidhi Sub Plan.</span><br />
