<span style="color: #222222;">In Telangana, the State Government has capped the costs of diagnostic tests and COVID-19 treatment in private laboratories and hospitals while it is getting ready to take up 50 thousand tests especially in COVID intense areas like Hyderabad. State Medical and Health Minister E. Rajender announced that private diagnostic labs authorised by the ICMR will not charge more than 2,200 rupees per test. Hospitals including corporate ones cannot exceed 4,000 rupees per day in normal wards, 7,500 rupees in Intensive Care Units and 9,000 rupees with ventilator support. However, a Special Task Force will monitor the private hospitals and these hospitals have to give details of all patients tested positive and getting treatment.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the state reported 219 new Coronavirus positive cases yesterday. Out of this, 189 reported from Hyderabad and its municipal area itself. With this, total reported COVID-19 cases in the state have gone up to 5,193. After discharging 389 people who recovered, the total recoveries in the state so far has gone up to 2,766. On the other hand, two more persons succumbed yesterday taking the death toll due to COVID-19 and other comorbidities to 187.</span><br />
