Especially the North Telangana districts are reeling under the fury with water flowing over roads, cutting off remote villages while normal life remained paralyzed. Inundation of villages and parts of some towns in the affected districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, and Jagtiyal have forced hundreds of families to move to safer places. The heavy rainfall and floods have led to incidents of house collapse, disrupted electricity supply, and caused widespread damage to the standing crops. Two major rivers which pass through the state, Godavari and Krishna and their tributaries are in spate while streams, tanks, and other water bodies are overflowing due to incessant rains. All major, medium, and small projects on both the major rivers are receiving heavy inflows forcing the authorities to release flood water downstream.</span><br />
