<span style="color: #222222;">Telugu speaking people across the world are celebrating their Telugu New Year, Ugaadi today, March 22, with traditional fervour and gaiety. People are observing the customary festivities as the festival marks the beginning of the Hindu Lunar calendar. Due to Covid -19 Pandemic, people celebrated the festival on a low key during the last few years.<br />''<br />''People across Telangana, both in rural and urban areas are celebrating the Sri 'Shobhakritu Nama Ugadi of the Telugu Calendar. Besides listening to Panchangam, an ancient practice of listening to the New Year forecast today, people savour special Ugadi chutney comprising Neem flower, jaggery, salt, sugar cane, tamarind, and mango to indicate six basic tastes. Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao greeted people on the eve of the Ugadi festival. </span><br />
