In Andhra Pradesh, the 48-hour bandh across Telangana region passed off peacefully last night. The bandh was total and badly impacted day-to-day life. Educational institutions, commercial establishments, petrol bunks and cinema halls were shut down and all busy roads across Telangana region including the state capital wore a deserted look. The bandh was called by Telangana political Joint action committee as part of non-cooperation agitation launched by it on 17th of this month on Telangana issue. Political parties like TRS, BJP and CPI and people’s organisations extended support to the bandh by participating in protest demonstrations held on the occasion.
