In Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana Bandh called by Students Joint Action Committee, JAC, passed off peacefully amidst tight security arrangements. The students JAC had called for Telangana Bandh, demanding postponement of written examination for police recruitment in the state.The road-commuters had to face several hardships with the State Transport Corporation suspending thousands of services across Telangana region due to Bandh. Educational institutes throughout the region were closed on Wednesday while petrol pumps, shops and business establishments also remained closed.Meanwhile, the Board of Police Recruitments' Chairman MalaKondaiah said, the examinations would be held as per schedule and sufficient security arrangements would be made to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations throughout the state.
