Telangana: 1178 persons test positive for Coronavirus; overall tally stands at 33,402

<span style="color: #222222;">In Telangana state, 1178 persons have been tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday. With this, the number of COVID 19 cases reported in the state has gone up to 33,402. Out of the 1178 fresh cases reported yesterday, 736 cases were reported from the Hyderabad municipality area while Rangareddy and Medchal Districts reported hundred plus each. 9 more districts reported fresh COVID cases in double digit while 15 other districts accounted for fresh COVID cases in single digit.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, 9 more died yesterday, taking the total deaths in the state to 348. Recoveries also are on the rise with 1714 patients being discharged yesterday. With this, a total of 10 thousand 919 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 12 thousand 135 are currently under treatment at various hospitals in the state.  <br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy visited Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, this morning,which is the largest dedicated COVID facility in Telangana. He has taken stock of the ground situation and assured doctors and staff of the Centre's support in the fight against the pandemic. He interacted with the patients and in the state-run hospitals and enquired about the facilities and treatment provided to them.<br />'' <br />'' Assuring all possible support from the Central Government, he stressed the need for enhancing confidence among people over the Government hospitals. He recalled that the Centre has given about 600 ventilators to the state. And the Minister, said the Telangana state is undertaking lesser COVID tests compared with other states.</span><br />''  <br />
