The Tejas Express, a semi high speed train, will be flagged off tomorrow by the Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu via video conferencing from Dadar. <br/><br/>The train between CST Mumbai and Karmali, Goa will run five days a week and the inaugural train will reach Karmali, Goa at 35 minutes past midnight on Tuesday. <br/><br/>The regular service from Karmali Goa will start from Tuesday and from Mumbai CST from Wednesday. The train is having modern facilities with enhanced passenger comfort and showcases the future of Train travel in India. The first rake comprises 19 coaches including sixteen non-executive and two executive chair cars besides one power coach. <br/><br/>The newly designed coaches are capable of running at a speed of 200 kilometre per hour but due to constraints related to rail tracks, these coaches will run at a speed of 160 kilometre per hour. Fares of Tejas Express train will be 20 per cent more than that of the Shatabdi Express.<br/><br/>Railways will introduce the high speed, air-conditioned Tejas Express between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai and Karmali for the first time tomorrow. The premium luxury train is a state of the art train capable of running at the speed of 200 kmph with ultra modern amenities. <br/><br/>Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag-off inaugural special at 3.25 PM via Video conferencing from Swami Narayan Sabhagruh, Dadar. The train will run five days a week during non-monsoon period and three days a week during monsoon period.
