Tehran’s Kashmir remark disappoints India

India has issued a demarche to Iran after its supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made a controversial statement on Kashmir. Official sources said New Delhi has conveyed its deep disappointment and regret over the statement to Tehran saying it has chosen to disregard India's sensitivities besides questioning the country's territorial integrity.Sources said the Joint Secretary in the External Affairs Ministry Y K Sinha summoned the Iranian charge d' affairs to South Block and conveyed New Delhi's sentiments.AIR correspondent adds this is not for the first time that an Iranian leader has made such a statement.
