In Nepal, the Hindu Community is celebrating the Teej festival with religious fervor and enthusiasm across the country. Women dressed in red observed fast and are visiting the Pashupati nath temple and other Shiva temples to worship for martial bliss and well being of spouses. AIR correspondent reports that it is also an ocassion for women to visit their homes and spend time with their families. The Pashupati Area Development Trust has made elaborate arrangements for the devotees visiting the temple. 3,000 security personnel have been deployed in the Pashupati area, medical teams have been kept at the site and along with volunteers and scouts. Muslims are also celebrating Eid Ul-Fitr, the last day of the Islamic holy festival of Ramadan on Wednesday. Nepal government has announced public holiday on Wednesday to celebrate the occasion.
