The former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has said that technology has an important role to make India a developed nation .Dr Kalam was speaking at the seventh convocation of UP technical University in Lucknow on Tuesday. <br/><br/>He said that Technology and Engineering works for the sustainable development of the country. He also emphasized that through the extensive use of renewable energy resources India could successfully face the challenges of Global warming and climate change. <br/><br/>On this occasion 25 PhD were awarded to the students. Fourteen students has also got gold medal for their excellence in academic performance. <br/><br/>The convocation was also addressed by the governor and chancellor of University B L Joshi.
