The National Cricket Selectors on Saturday announced the Indian squads for the upcoming limited overs series in Australia after a meeting in New Delhi. Punjab's young left-arm seamer Brainder Sran and Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya were the new faces in India's One-day and Twenty20 squads. Ravindra Jadeja and Yuvraj Singh were recalled in India's One-day and Twenty20 squads for the upcoming Australia tour. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead both the formats during the tour. Paceman Ishant Sharma and Ashish Nehra were among the veterans who were recalled in the squads while Suresh Raina was left out to give chance to others. Mohammed Shami, who has now recovered from his injury, has been named in both the ODI and T20 squads. Rishi Dhawan and Manish Pandey were also included in the squads announced by BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur after a meeting of the selection committee. There were a number of players like Stuart Binny, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ambati Rayudu, Mohit Sharma, Amit Mishra and Harbhajan Singh, who were omitted from the ODI squad. Off-spinner Harbhajan, however, kept his place in the T20 squad. The squad, to be captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has expectedly been packed with seamers.
