The portfolios of the newly sworn-in ministers in Assam will be allocated on Monday. This was stated by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in Guwahati. Altogether 18 Ministers, comprising 14 Cabinet and four ministers of state with independent charge were inducted in the Tarun Gogoi-led Congress Ministry on Friday. Meanwhile, Governor JB Patnaik has convened the first Session of the 13th Assam Legislative Assembly on June 6. Official sources said the Session will continue for three days. The newly-elected 126 legislators of the Assembly will take oath on the opening day. The Governor will address the new Assembly on the second day. It will be followed by a discussion on the Governor’s address on the third and the concluding day.
