Team Anna ended their nine day indefinite fast at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi today and have announced to go ahead with the formation of a political party. The Congress party today said that Team Anna's decision to launch a political party was a face saver to end the fast. Party spokesman Manish Tiwari told reporters that both the issues raised by them are completely hollow as the Lokpal is now before the Select committee. Tiwari said the Congress and various other political commentators have been saying that Team Anna had political aspirations.
