Teachers should also encourage students for innovation: HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar

Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that effective monitoring in the schools can bring good results and community participation is crucial for betterment of education in grassroots. Awarding district and block level officers for innovation in educational administration in New Delhi today, Mr Javadekar said, education officers have brought transparency, accountability, better learning and they can become innovators and bring in good practices. <br/><br/>He said, leadership qualities in headmasters and principals is must and Government is giving stress on use technology to bring in more accountability. He said, education officers should appreciate teachers and should encourage them for better results. He said, teachers should also encourage students for innovation. <br/><br/>The awards were presented to selected officers at the culmination of a three day National Conference on Innovation in Educational Administration. The conference is being organized by National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi. Almost 150 block and district level education officers from all parts of the country were present at the conference. The main aim of the conference was to promote innovative ideas for education at block and district level.
