Teachers Day: 20 Teachers honoured with state-level award in Nagaland

<span style="color: #222222;">20 teachers from both government and private schools were honoured with state-level teachers award 2022. The awardee teachers received citations from Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at a state-level Teachers' Day celebration held at Kohima.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion,  Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said, teachers have an extremely important role in making their students as responsible and contributing citizens of the society, and they are shaping the society, the state and the country.</span> <br />''Rio  said, the school Education department is one of the largest departments of the state with the second largest number of employees.  He said, with this large number of teachers, the state is reaching out to the remotest part of the village, and that these students have no option of private schools.<br />'' <br />''The  Chief Minister also said, it is time to introspect, retrospect and plan for the future.He said, towards making a better future among other initiatives, digital teachers' dairy introduced for government teachers will show an improved performance for the teachers and the department.  <br />''<br />''He also hoped that the launching of teachers attendance monitoring system will address the bad practice of proxies and improve attendance of teachers in their respective places.<br />'' <br />''The Chief Minister while acknowledging the problems faced by the School department said, the state government is working tireless towards addressing the genuine issues such as strengthening teachers recruitment process and training of teachers, besides mainstreaming the qualified eligible teachers recruited through open advertisement.<br />''<br />''<br />''On the occasion,  top 50 meritorious students of HSLC Examination of 2021 & 2022 conducted by NBSE for Chief Minister's Meritorious Students Fellowship.  <br />''<br />''He also launched  the Nagaland Reading Festival, Digital Dairy for government teachers and a question a Day in collaboration with Education Initiatives.<br />'' <br />''As  a mark of honour to the teachers, September 6 have been declared holiday for all government and private schools in the state.        <br />''                                                     <br />''Governor of Assam and Nagaland  Prof. Jagdish Mukhi extended warm greetings to all Teaching Faculty on the occasion of Teachers Day.<br />'' <br />''In a message, Governor Mukhi lauded teachers for shouldering the responsibility of creating human resources and contributing to the growth of the Nation. On the occasion, Governor Mukhi appealed to all teachers to discharge their duties with a renewed sensed of dedication and sincerity. <br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said, the vision and mission of the teachers become all more important in the backdrop of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav and the period of Amrit Kaal. The Governor opined that the teachers role in moulding the students to take the lead in making India a Viswa Guru will be critical during this period.</span><br />
