Tea forum opened at Dubai

The 3rd Global Dubai Tea Forum opened in Dubai today. Over 360 delegates from more than 35 countries, including Tea Board of India are attending the two-day forum.Inaugurating the forum, the UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori in his key note address expressed the confidence that it will open doors to more bilateral investments between the UAE and tea producing countries around the world.Chairman of the Tea board of India, Basudeb Banerjee made a presentation on the first day of the forum. The Director of Dubai Tea Trading Centre, Sanjay Sethi said despite these tough conditions, Dubai remains the second largest export destination for both Indian and Sri Lankan tea and plays a pivotal role in the supply chain for the industry.The forum will conclude tomorrow with presentations and panel discussions on tea industry brands, worldwide tea bag consumption trends, innovations and market developments.
