TEA Exporters chief welcomes RBI notification on export credit

TEA Exporters Association President, Shri. A. Sakthivel welcomed the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification by reducing the ceiling rate on export credit in foreign currency by banks from 3.5% to 2%. He pointed out that the SME (Small and Medium Exporters) knitwear exporter sector has been struggling to attain the competitiveness.TEA had been pressing the Central Government and RBI to reduce the rate. He sent thanks letter to Union Finance Minister Shir. Pranab Mukharjee and Shri. R. Gopalan, Secretary Finance, Department of Banking and Insurance for giving advice to RBI to reduce the interest rate.
