TDP to move no-confidence motion against Kiran Reddy lead AP govt

In Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party,TDP, on Thursday gave notice of no-confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy Government over its failure to address farmers’ problems.TDP leaders gave the notice to the secretary of the Assembly as the Deputy Speaker N Manohar was away from Hyderabad. Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, TDP president Chandrababu Naidu said the no-trust motion would give an opportunity to thoroughly discuss farmers’ problems as the Government did not respond so far to resolve them.On the other hand, Government Chief Whip B Vikramarka exuded confidence that the Government would win the no-confidence motion. As per the present position, Congress has 155 members while the principle opposition party has 90 members in the assembly.Governor E S L Narsimhan has fixed Saturday for the Speaker's election. Deputy Speaker of the assembly N Manohar has submitted his resignation. He is likely to be the candidate of the ruling congress party for the speaker's post.
