TDP President Naidu & followers shifted from Dharmabad to Aurangabad jail

Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu and about 70 party leaders who are in judicial remand have been forcibly shifted from Dhramabad this morning by Maharashtra police. The TDP leaders were arrested by Maharashtra Police when they were trying to visit the contentious Babli project site and in judicial remand since last Friday after they refuse take bail. Tension prevailed in Dharmabad once again this morning as the TDP leaders resisted shifting them without telling where they are being taken to. According to Maharashtra police, the TDP leaders are being shifted for now to Aurangabad jail for now. Meanwhile, tension prevailed on Andhra Pradesh side of the boarder when the party workers and media representatives were not allowed to follow the vehicles in which the detained leaders were travelling. The TDP activists have launched protest demonstrations across Andhra Pradesh against alleged ill-treatment meted out to their leaders by Maharashtra Government and treating them as criminals.
