TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu calls off hunger strike

Telugu Desam Party supremo Chandrababu Naidu has called off his hunger strike. Naidu has been on indefinite hunger strike in Hyderabad for the past eight days demanding higher relief to the farmers who suffered losses in the heavy rain in the state. Earlier, leaders of non Congress and non BJP opposition parties including A.B. Bardhan, Prakash Karat, Sharad Yadav and Vaiko have called on Naidu at Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences and appealed to him to call off his fast. Later, speaking to reporters, CPI General Secretary A.B. Bardhan had said an agitation on farmers problems will be taken up at national level. A strategy will be workd out soon, he said.
