The country's biggest software services firm, TCS today reported a 10.9 percent year-on-year jump in its quarterly net profit, to 6,778 crore rupees. Revenue rose 8.7 per cent. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit was up 2.9 percent. TCS MD and CEO, N. Chandrasekaran said the company's strengths in Digital, Platforms and Cloud, and its deep knowledge of the customers' domain were behind its ability to play a strategic role and make a holistic impact on the business.TCS said employee addition during the quarter was a net 6,978, taking the overall count to more than 3.78 lakh people. The percentage of women employees at the company rose to all-time high of 34.6 per cent.
