Karnataka Health minister Dr. K Sudhakar has informed that the TB cases detection campaign to be held till the end of this month will conduct check up of some of the over 28 lakh Covid infection recovered patients.<br />'' <br />''Karnataka is the first state in the country to take up follow up check up of Covid cured patients.<br />'' <br />''He said that a few cases of Covid recovered patients with lungs related ailments have contracted TB.<br />'' <br />''Hence he appealed to the Covid recovered patients to be part of the campaign as early detection can help cure TB.<br />'' <br />''The minister said that those with chronic cough for two weeks, with night fever and experiencing weight loss must get themselves tested for TB.<br />'' <br />''Dr. Sudhakar added that Karnataka has taken up the call given by the Prime Minister to make India free of TB by 2025 and is working towards that end.<br />'' <br />''Speaking about the measures to contain Covid pandemic, the minister informed that all the 30 districts in the state will have a technical advisory committee similar to that functioning at the state level.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He also said that the Chief Minister will soon launch Arogya Nandana programme that will take up health check-ups of over 1.5 crore children in the state to detect their vulnerability to Covid virus and improve their immunity.</span><br />
