Controversial author and human right activist Taslima Nasrin today backed the Uniform Civil Code in the country. Participating in a session in Jaipur literature festival in Jaipur today, she said that it is necessary for Islamic society to be tolerant and accept criticism without which they cannot progress. <br/><br/>She added that Uniform Civil Code is urgently required for empowering people with human rights. She said that education can play a major role to curb the rising intolerance in society and atrocities on women.
