Target killings in Pakistan's largest city Karachi claimed 17 lives yesterday. In one incident, armed gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on people sitting at a tea stall close to a well known madrasa. At least five people including students of the madrasa were killed in the incident while three others injured.
In another incident near a college, armed men on motorcycles killed three persons travelling in a car, one of them is said to be the editor of a weekly magazine. Police said, 17 people were killed in the latest spate of violence in the city.
