<span style="color: #222222;">The target for construction of National Highways in the year 2019-20 has been fixed at around 11,000 km in the entire country. <br />''<br />''Out of which, targets for construction of 4-lane are 2990 km while 6 to 8-lane NH 570 km. Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Jairam Gadkari informed this in the Lok Sabha today during the Question Hour. <br />''<br />''The Minister also said that the development of road stretches under various schemes is taken up post finalisation of alignment (greenfield or brownfield), cost estimates and land acquisition requirement.</span><br />
