Road Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari today assumed charge of his office.

Later talking to reporters, he stressed on the need to develop agriculture, water, power and communication sectors for employment generation.

He said, efforts will be made to give fillip to infrastructure development.

The Minister said that inter-ministerial level discussions between the Secretaries of Shipping, Environment and Forests and Tourism could be held to further explore possibilities of developing inland waterways and tourism along the river Ganga.
