In Gwalior, the annual classical music festival Tansen Samaroh began at the tomb of Tansen, the great classical singer of the medieval ages, last evening. Justice Subash Samvatsar of Gwalior High court inaugurated the function. Earlier, traditional Hari Katha and Milad Sharif were held at Tansen’s Samadhi Sthal. Noted exponents of singing and music from all over India are taking part in the four-day function being organised by Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet Evam Kala Akademi, Bhopal . It will have in all six musical sittings. On the last day, the music function will be held at Behat, the birth place of Tansen.
