<span style="color: #222222;">Tamilnadu Chief Minister Palanisamy has requested the Central Government to procure and supply the entire required quantity of vaccine for administering vaccine to all groups including those in the age group of 18 to 45 years of age.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, he said that alternative sources of supply of vaccine including possible imports should also be expedited in the coming weeks.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Stressing on the pricing of vaccine, the Chief Minister pointed out that it would place a higher financial burden on the States.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Referring to the budgetary provision of Rs.35 thousand crore in 2021 – 22 for Covid 19 vaccination program , he said that states have a legitimate expectation on the Centre for the&nbsp; third phase of Vaccine.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Referring to the new policy of the Ministry of health and family welfare that states were given the responsibility to procure and administer the vaccine, he said that the vaccines were available at pre determined prices from the manufacturers and some had already announced a higher increased rate for procurement by State Governments.</span><br />'' &nbsp;<br />
