<span style="color: #222222;">Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has called for an all party meeting to discuss the issue of Mekedatu reservoir on the 12 th of this month. </span><br />''<br />''In a statement issued today, the Chief Minister said that Tamilnadu had to seek a legal remedy on the matter. He said that Karnataka was taking steps to build the reservoir in River Cauvery thereby preventing the water supply to Tamilnadu.<br />''<br />''The all party meeting will discuss and take a unified stand on the Mekedatu reservoir issue. Tamilnadu had appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and had presented a memorandum during the Chief Minister's  recent visit to Delhi. The Government said that Karnataka should abide by the orders of the Supreme Court and the State Government cannot allow any hindrance in Cauvery water supply which is the lifeline of scores of farmers living in the delta region. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The State also reiterated the appeal when  water resources Minister Durai Murugan met Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Delhi recently.</span><br />
