Tamilnadu CM holds routine monthly high-level review meeting on COVID situation

Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami held a routine monthly high-level review meeting with district collectors, health expert committee and heads of various departments today morning, to discuss Covid 19 situation in the State.<br />''<br />''Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan briefed the meeting about the preventive measures to be taken, now that some persons from the UK have been tested positive.<br />''<br />''It has been informed that the administration was firm on preventing a second wave of infection.<br />''<br />''The health panel committee is also said to have briefed the Chief  Minister on the possible action plan for the upcoming vaccine distribution in the State, and the progress made by vaccine manufacturers.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister also sought opinion on  school re-opening in a phased manner.<br />''<br />''Today's meeting comes in the backdrop of intensified monitoring and checkposts erected in the borders to ensure that those entering the State were subjected to tests.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The officials also discussed the distribution of the State-sponsored Pongal gifts.</span><br />
