In Tamil Nadu, Vice president R. Mahendran and seven senior members of actor politician Kamal Hassan's party Makkal Neethi Maiyam tendered their resignations from the party yesterday.<br />'' <br />''The party led a front having Actor Sarath Kumar's Samathuva Makkal Katchi in the assembly elections held recently.  But the party was not able to score a single win in any constituency as Mr Kamal Hassan also ended up being in the runner up position in Coimbatore South Constituency.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Former President APJ Abdul Kalam's scientific advisor V.
