Tamil Nadu chief minister J.Jayalalithaa has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take measures for passing a resolution in the forthcoming UN Human Rights Council meet in Geneva for instituting an international inquiry into the alleged war crimes during the last stages of the Sri lankan internal war. <br/><br/>As a follow up of the unanimous resolution passed to this effect in the state Assembly at Fort St George in Chennai, she has sent the letter to the Prime Minister, copy of which has been released to the media. <br/><br/>In the letter, she has pointed out that the inquiry report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights will be tabled in the current session of the UNHRC in Geneva, where the resolution on the subject will be discussed during 1st and 2nd October.
