The Trichy District administration, in the Cauvery Delta region of Tamil Nadu has taken extensive measures to take care of the needs of senior citizens and orphans, against the background of Covid-19.<br />'' <br />'' About 30 community kitchens have been set up in various parts of the district, including rural and tribal pockets to provide healthy meals for senior citizens as well as orphans.<br />'' <br />'' The administration has informed that on an average more than 2800 people are availing the services of the community kitchens per day.<br />'' <br />'' According to data available, about 17,000 senior citizens and orphans have been benefitted by the services of the community kitchens in Trichy district.<br />
