In Tamil Nadu, several relaxations from the lockdown in non-containment zones will come into effect from tomorrow. Certain industries are allowed to function in the areas with limited strength provided the staff are brought to the workplace in office-provided vehicles following social distancing.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the state witnessed the highest ever single-day spike in the number of new Covid-19 cases yesterday. 231 people were confirmed with the infection. Chennai alone contributed to 174 cases. As the state capital has become a major hotspot for the disease, intense containment and screening efforts are underway there. <br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, Tamil Nadu has launched different websites for bringing back the people working in other countries and other states who want to return and also for the migrant workers who want to go back to their homes. The willing people have to register themselves in the websites so that liaising works could be made with the several stakeholder agencies for their repatriation. <br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the Southern Railway has clarified that the Shramik Special Trains for the migrant workers can be operated only on a request from the states concerned. Such a request from Tamil Nadu is expected to come soon as it has asked all district collectors to compile state-wise information on those who want to leave. <br />'' <br />''  <br />
